The idea for The Free Woman came about during a trip to Mexico, where I have family connections and regularly find new inspiration. Inspired by the Mexican muralist movement, the work draws on its powerful use of form and color to visually convey strength and resilience. In terms of content, the painting reflects a personal process of liberation—letting go of external expectations and finding a clearer, self-determined path. The Free Woman is a tribute to this path—a monument to inner liberation, courage, confidence, and trust in one's own strength. It is aimed not only at women, but at all people.
